TL;DR

  • Itemstores lets you create and manage multiple online stores from one account with no subscriptions and no per-store fees.
  • Our platform is free forever with the starter license.
  • Built-in USPS shipping labels at up to 89% off retail rates.
  • Modern, clean storefronts that look professional out of the box.

After more than a year of building in stealth, we're excited to introduce Itemstores, a platform designed for small businesses, teams, and organizers who want to sell online without the complexity and cost of traditional e-commerce solutions.

The problem we set out to solve

If you've ever tried to set up an online store for a sports team, a fundraiser, or a small apparel business, you've probably run into the same wall: platforms that charge monthly subscriptions, take large transaction cuts, and bury you in features designed for enterprise retailers.

The math doesn't work for small sellers. Here's what you're actually looking at on competing platforms:

PlatformUpfront costAnnual costTransaction fees
OrderMyGear$1,899$588/yr + $49/store/mo6.85% + $0.30
Deconetwork$499$3,588/yrHidden fees
Chipply$1,000Included6.4% + $0.30
InkSoftIncluded$3,768/yrHidden fees
ShopifyNone$3,588/store/yrAdditional fees

That's $3,500 to $4,000 per year on most platforms, before you've sold a single item. And if you need more than one store? Most of them charge per store, so costs multiply fast.

Cost isn't the only problem. Many of these platforms were built over a decade ago, and it shows. Cluttered dashboards, confusing navigation, and storefronts that look like they belong in 2012. Your buyers notice. A dated checkout experience erodes trust and costs you sales, especially when your customers are parents on their phones trying to order between errands.

What Itemstores does differently

We started from a simple question: what if selling online didn't require a subscription? What if the tools were simple enough for anyone, and affordable enough for everyone?

We also asked: what if the stores actually looked good? Itemstores was built from scratch with a modern design language. Clean layouts, responsive pages that work on any device, and a checkout flow that feels as polished as the platforms your buyers already trust. No outdated templates. No clunky page builders. Your storefront looks professional the moment you create it.

No subscriptions, ever

Itemstores is free to start. Our Starter license gives you 5 stores, 100 products per store, free website hosting, and access to heavily discounted shipping labels, all at no monthly cost. When you're ready to scale, a one-time $399 Full license unlocks 100 stores, unlimited products, team members, and premium custom domains.

Run multiple stores without paying per store

This is where Itemstores is fundamentally different. Most platforms charge you for every store you create, whether that's a flat monthly fee per storefront or tiered pricing that jumps as you add more. On Itemstores, your Starter license includes 5 stores and the Full license includes up to 100, with no per-store fees at all.

That means a sports league can run separate stores for every team, a decorator can spin up a new storefront for each client, and a school district can manage spirit stores across campuses, all from one dashboard without the bill growing each time. Create a store, add products, share the link. When a season or campaign ends, close it and open the next one. You're never paying for idle storefronts.

Simple, memorable store links

Every store gets a clean URL like item.store/yourname that you can share anywhere: in a text, on social media, or printed on a flyer. Full license users get premium subdomains like yourname.item.store for an even more professional presence.

ok that's way easier than last year

Shipping discounts up to 89% off

Shipping is one of the biggest hidden costs for small sellers. If you're buying labels at retail USPS rates, you're overpaying on every single order. The average retail cost of a shipping label is around $8. Through Itemstores, you can buy the same label for as low as $0.96. That's an 88% discount, available to every Itemstores user from day one.

Buy labels directly from your dashboard, print them, and ship. No third-party shipping software. No separate account to manage. If you ship 50 packages a month, that's over $350 in savings every month, or more than $4,200 a year. For many sellers, the shipping savings alone more than cover the cost of a Full license.

Itemstores also calculates shipping rates at checkout, so your buyers see accurate costs before they pay. No surprises for them, no margin guesswork for you.

Transparent pricing that makes sense

We believe in keeping things simple. Here's how Itemstores pricing works:

  • Starter (free forever): 5.9% platform fee per transaction. No monthly charges.
  • Full ($399 one-time): 2.9% platform fee per transaction. Lifetime access.

Compare that to competitors charging $49/store/month or 6.4% per transaction on top of setup fees. If you run five stores on a platform that charges $49/store/month, that's nearly $3,000 a year in store fees alone. On Itemstores, those same five stores cost you nothing on Starter, or are included in your one-time $399 Full license. The savings add up quickly, and we did the math.

Built for the people traditional platforms overlook

Itemstores isn't trying to replace Shopify for enterprise retailers. We're here for the coach who needs a team store, the PTA parent running a fundraiser, the decorator managing seasonal campaigns, and the entrepreneur who just wants to sell without getting nickel-and-dimed.

If that sounds like you, we'd love for you to give Itemstores a try. It's free to start, and we think you'll be surprised how much simpler selling online can be.
