Everyone with access to your business, with their role, when they joined, and
whether they have two-factor enabled.
Stripe has to be connected before you can manage your team.
Inviting someone
Invite member opens the Invite team member dialog. Fill in Email
address, pick a Role, and Send invitation emails them a link to
accept.
Only the owner and admins see Invite member. Only the owner can invite an
admin. An admin can only invite staff.
Invitations expire after 7 days. Everything unaccepted sits under Pending
invitations, showing the email, role, who sent it and when it expires. The row
menu holds Revoke, which withdraws it, and selecting rows reveals a
Revoke button that withdraws several at once. There is no way to resend an
invitation, so revoke it and invite the address again.
Members and pending invitations together cap at 100.
Roles
Filter the list by All, Owner, Admin or Staff.
The 2FA column
Shows whether each member has two-factor enabled. Members who signed in with
Google read N/A, since Google handles it rather than Itemstores.
Changing someone’s role
A member’s role is a dropdown on their row, so you can promote or demote without
re-inviting them. It is only a dropdown where you have the authority to change
it, and a plain badge everywhere else. The owner’s role, and your own, are
always badges. An admin sees a badge on another admin.
Removing someone
The row menu holds Remove, which asks you to confirm. The same rules apply:
the owner cannot be removed, you cannot remove yourself, and an admin cannot
remove another admin. Selecting rows reveals a Remove button for several at
once.
Transferring ownership
Only the owner sees Transfer ownership, and only on another member’s row
menu. Confirming it emails a link to you, the current owner, and the transfer
happens when you open that link rather than when you confirm the dialog. The
link expires after 24 hours. Once it goes through, the other member becomes the
owner and you become an admin.
Leaving
The Leave team section carries a button reading Leave followed by your
business name. It removes you from the business, and you lose access to it and
its data. The owner does not get this section at all, so transfer ownership
first.
